2011 June 17 News
Hi Everyone,
A reminder that starting on Monday, June 20, the younger swimmers' (Group 1) practice times will be changing because we are able to get into the pool a little earlier since swimming lessons are over:
Group 1A - 5:45 - 6:30
Group 1B - 6:30 - 7:15
Group 1C - 7:15 - 8:00
A couple of clarifications for the sale of the Co-op gift cards:
- you MUST submit to us a cheque or cash for the total amount of the gift cards you require PRIOR to us ordering the cards (which is next Thursday, June 23).
- they may be used at any Co-op grocery store, building supply store, or gas station
- a balance may be carried on the card - it does not have to be all used at once

2011 June 16 News
Hi everyone,
We are going to do a Co-op gift card order which will be due on June 23/2011. People can buy these cards at face value - a $100 card can be purchased for $100 to be used at the Co-op, but our club will be able to retain anywhere from $5-$10 of that $100 to go towards our fundraising efforts. Anyone interested in purchasing them please email me by then (suzkar <at> telus.net) . I hope that pickup will be around the 28th just before summer starts. This is a great opportunity for our club and families to top up their fundraising. The way it works is the more we order, the better it is for us . As well Venessa contacted both the Coop grocery store and gas bar to confirm if we can use the gift cards to purchase gas and both said yes. So that was good news too!!!
Payment will be due prior to picking up the cards from Co-op. If you commit to purchasing $500 worth of cards, for example, you must follow through with this commitment or else the club will be stuck paying for them!
Percentage towards fundraising:
$2000-$4000 ...5%
$4000-$6500---6%
$6500-$10000----7%
$10000-$15000---8%
$15000-$25000-9%
$25000 and over 10%
Please let me know if you are wanting $50 gift cards or $100 gift cards when you place your order.

2011 May 17 Newsletter update
Hi again, everyone!
There are going to be quite a few swimmers missing this weekend because it is Victoria Day weekend. Therefore, Group 1 (younger swimmers): the 3:00 - 4:00 swim time has been cancelled for this Saturday. If this is when your child usually swims, please come to either the 1:00 - 2:00 or 2:00 - 3:00 time - the choice is yours.
Group 2 (older swimmers) - there is only ONE practice time on Sunday - 12:00 - 1:30. If you're scheduled for 11:15 - 12:45, please just show up at 12:00. There is NO dryland training this weekend either.
A couple of other reminders:
- If your child was a "trial" swimmer, please bring a cheque this week for me for the remainder of their fees as well as the fundraiser cheque.
- Make sure your child has tried on a t-shirt sizer today or tomorrow. If they get missed, we will order based on our best guess of their size!
- Cut and paste back the questions from the last email I sent out regarding swim meets, etc.

2011 May 12 Newsletter update
Hi everyone,
I thought I would send out another email regarding Sunday's practices - there was a bit of confusion so I want to clarify...
Group 1 (the younger swimmers) will be at the regular times with Denise and Sharon coaching.
Group 2 (the older swimmers) will be from 8-9 pm instead of the regular times - sorry for the inconvenience, but Kaitlyn is away on a course all weekend.
A reminder as well that there is no practice on holiday Monday, May 23.

2011 Registration
Lloydminster Jr. Rebels Summer Swim Club
April 13 &14, 5:00 – 8:00 pm
Lloydminster Leisure Centre
For ages 5-18
Must be able to swim a full length of the pool independently or with very little assistance
The Lloydminster Jr. Rebels Summer Swim Club is part of the Alberta Summer Swim Association (ASSA). The season runs from May 2, 2011 to August 14, 2011. That’s 3 ½ months of fun, learning, and training in the pool.
You can be as committed and/or competitive as you want in a sport such as this. Of course, the more you put in, the better the results will be!
This is an awesome way to keep kids active and will help increase their overall fitness level, not to mention the fun they will have both at practices and at swim meets. It is a great way to spend time with their friends in the summer months, too!
Ages 5 - 8: $300
Ages 9 + : $350
Family discount available
$100 Fundraising commitment ($200 for families with more than 2 swimmers)
